Students from the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Private Equity Society recently spent an afternoon at Schonfeld hearing from Colin Lancaster (Co-Head of Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income and Head of EMEA), Alex Codrington (Head of EMEA Fundamental Equity), Edoardo Leonardi, PhD (Macro Research Analyst, DMFI) and Jonathan Hart (Portfolio Manager). They each discussed their experiences working in finance and their roles at Schonfeld. Our guests also spent time networking with colleagues from across the firm. Thank you to the LSE Private Equity Society for joining us, and we look forward to future opportunities to educate and inspire the next generation of investment professionals.

As we honor the historical legacy of #Juneteenth, our DEI Alliance hosted a conversation with Duane Hughes, Chair, Americas Advisory Council at UBS, Gayle Jessup White, Author and Public Relations & Community Engagement Officer at Monticello and Emilie Johnson, Curator of Arts and History at Monticello. The fascinating and engaging discussion explored the often-overlooked stories and resilience of the enslaved community at Thomas Jefferson’s home. We thank Duane Hughes, Gayle Jessup White and Emilie Johnson for their time and insights, and our Schonfeld colleagues for their engagement.

Thank you to the UMiami College of Engineering for giving us the opportunity to sponsor the university’s first-ever Women in Engineering event. We look forward to collaborating on more events this year and spending time with the impressive students and faculty at #umiami.
Today we hosted "Women in Engineering" to celebrate the remarkable achievements of female engineers. We were honored to have been joined by Alice N. Bravo, PE, who spearheaded significant infrastructure projects across Miami-Dade County; Bose Corporation's CEO, Lila Snyder; and JoAnn Morgan, who made history as NASA's first female engineer. The event served as a platform to inspire our students to see the opportunities within the field and pursue projects that will help solve some of society's biggest issues. A special thank you to NBC 6 South Florida anchor and College of Engineering parent, Jackie Nespral, for moderating the discussions as well as Schonfeld and DeSimone Consulting Engineering for sponsoring the event.
