🌿💼 Our near-term target to reduce company-wide emissions have been validated and approved by SBTi We are proud to share that Schoeller Allibert, as the first producer of returnable transport packaging, has had its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets validated as science-based by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This is an important step in our decarbonization journey, as our company’s scope 1 and 2 target ambition for 2033 is in line with the 1.5°C trajectory. This trajectory is in line with what is needed to keep global heating below catastrophic levels and reach net-zero by 2050 at the latest. Find out about our targets in this news article: https://bit.ly/4c7fvie More on our sustainability strategy and other initiatives can be found in our recently launched sustainability report. 🌍 https://bit.ly/4c5NTdm #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #SchoellerAllibert

Net zero has been on the agenda for several AMP periods; however, the next AMP8 period is set to be one of the most challenging. Back in 2020, UK water companies agreed to reach net zero by 2030, making AMP8 the last AMP period before the sector's 2030 net zero goal is either achieved or missed. In the next period, water companies will be required to improve resilience while making significant strides towards lowering carbon emissions. Explore our latest blog post, "AMP8 and Beyond: Paving the Way to Net Zero," to discover how the upcoming AMP8 period will significantly influence the industry's environmental footprint and unwavering commitment to a sustainable future.
