☀ This solar farm project is expected to make Crafton Hills College a net zero energy campus by producing 100% of its energy needs. Thank you to our local community for supporting Measure CC: This project is made possible by Measure CC, a $470 million bond initiative approved by local voters in 2018 to modernize and enhance facilities at Crafton Hills College and San Bernardino Valley College. The Board of Trustees approved the solar farm’s construction in October 2021, reflecting SBCCD’s commitment to a sustainable future.

Exciting news for our students! Yesterday, Chancellor Diana Z. Rodriguez and CARB Chair Liane M. Randolph signed an agreement between the San Bernardino Community College District and the California Air Resources Board, the state’s top clean air agency, headquartered in Riverside. This partnership opens doors of opportunities for students: - New learning experiences and resources about clean air, environmental science, and green jobs, which are in high demand. - Networking with professionals and getting real-world experience in environmental protection. Together, we’re working to build a skilled workforce, and ensure a clean, healthy future for everyone. 🌱✍️💼🌏 #SBCCDintheCommunity

🚀 Dr. Gilbert Contreras will become the 15th president of San Bernardino Valley College on July 1. 👨🎓 Dr. Contreras earned a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from UCLA, a master’s in City Planning from MIT, and a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley. ⏯ In this video, Dr. Contreras shares his journey and how his family’s experiences have shaped his approach to leadership and student success.

Your contributions have made a lasting impact on our students and community. We also welcomed our new SBCCD student trustees, Hadi Natour of Crafton Hills College and Nelva Ruiz-Martinez of San Bernardino Valley College. Our future is bright! 🌟
