FREE workshop Special Needs Trust Planning Workshop will help you secure your child’s long-term financial future and relieve the worry of planning for their future. The workshop will cover the following: How a Special Needs Trust will protect your child’s future Why a Special Needs Bank Account is necessary How to write a Letter of Wishes Explain the importance of a Hospital Passport How to choose the right Guardians and Trustees How to build financial security for your child How to fund a Trust from entitlements Information on rarely claimed entitlements and tax credits Strategies to create a brighter financial future for your child After the workshop, we will be available to answer any personal questions you may have. Note: This workshop is designed to meet the needs of parents of children under 18 years of age and we encourage you to let other parents know. This workshop is a free event, but we would greatly appreciate a €10 donation on the night to a local charity helping children with additional needs. What were your biggest takeaways from the recent Giving USA report? Mine were: 1.      Individual giving is still THE #1 place nonprofits should focus 2.      If you aren’t paying attention to Donor Advised Funds (they’re driving the growth in Foundation giving, FYI), you’re missing a big revenue opportunity 3.      Inflation is likely still hurting your fundraising efforts (psst…this is why you should be asking for bigger gifts this year if you aren’t already) 4.      As the population ages, we’re likely to see Bequests make up a bigger part of the revenue pie for charities. Donation Deadline Alert 🔔 Giving to our Foundation not only benefits the entire community around you, it can help make your tax return a little kinder, too. There's still time to take advantage – any donation you make until December 31st can be applied to your 2023 tax filing. Here are a few tips to help you on your way: ▪️ If you’ve donated $200 (or less) in a calendar year, consider carrying it forward to combine with future donations to maximize the higher tax credit rate.   ▪️ Combine and file donations with your spouse’s return to have more attributed at a higher rate.  ▪️ If your donations exceed your allowable limit, consider transferring the excess to a spouse so they can utilize the tax credits on their return. Through our innovative programs, we aim to equip everyone with the knowledge they need to make smart financial decisions. The 16-year-old adolescent girl isn't easily swayed by her peers because she has begun to understand what it means to save and be frugal. The 9-year-old opts for not wasting soap as he(she) understands that it keeps more money in her parents' pockets, therefore, she expects a great reward around Christmas.
