Halloween may be over, but some would say that with Q4 here, spooky season has just begun. As an SDR last Q4, I had a VP of a Fortune 10 company reach out to me inquiring about Snowflake. While he wasn’t employed by an account I was covering, I wanted to do my best to develop a relationship before connecting him to the correct team, as I was helping to curate his Snowflake experience regardless. Yet, I followed his lead, and we chatted over LinkedIn for 25 minutes about nothing except what his wife was making for the holiday season and how excited he was about it. After being connected with the right team, he helped champion our product, leading to at least a POC and a further integrated relationship between our organizations. Q4 doesn’t have to be as scary as it’s made out to be - there will always be a potential reason your prospects aren’t answering whether it's Q4 or Q2. 1. Be human: People don’t want to buy or connect with a robot; they want to work with a real human with real emotions. 2. Accommodate your prospect: Be flexible and understanding - the holidays are either a time for family or a tough time for EVERYONE, your prospect included. 3. Plan ahead: Prevent commission breath by setting lofty but attainable goals, knowing your numbers, and staying on top of them on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. You should always have a game plan on how you will happen to your business instead of allowing your business to happen to you, but beginning early and getting specific will only increase your chance of hitting quota over the holidays. What’s your secret to success during Q4? #success #business #salesdevelopment

Technical Project Manager | Salesforce Certified Professional | Salesforce World Tour NYC 2023 Speaker | MidAtlantic Dreamin’ Volunteer Committee Co-Leader
Anyone who attended Jodi Hrbek’s Demo Org Jam last week still wanting to figure out how to get their own demo org started…. Or are looking into breaking into your first role in the #SalesforceEcosystem….. Come and check out this session! Stephanie Metal ☁️ does such a fabulous job with her presentations 😉 Now on a personal note on why I think it’s a great idea to check this out: 1) I had used my demo org to help me prep for my #SalesforceAdmin certification… When I would get questions wrong, I’d hop into the org and find the answers and play around in that section. It helped me with recall, when I was taking the test. 2) And during my technical interview I used my demo org to show off my skills and presentation style and I landed my role that I start next Monday 8/21. Military Trailblazer Office Hours which is the group hosting this presentation is an excellent resource as well, if you weren’t already aware of it. They have weekly webinars on all sorts of helpful topics, so be sure to check them out as well 😉 This is with the wonderful host Jade L. and her weekly webinar called #TrailheadTuesdays. I’m putting into the comments below the link to the last Demo Org Jam Jodi Hrbek had hosted, so you can check out that recording. It was such a great session! Also, I was fortunate enough to be interviewed and share my story and experience prepping for the Salesforce Admin Certification, on the Salesforce Admins Podcast. I had participated in the hopes that I could help others with what I shared. I’ll drop the link to that as well in the comments. Hoping everyone is having a #TerrificTuesday! #Salesforce #SalesforceCareer #SalesforceCertification #SalesforceDemoOrg #DemoOrgJam #TalentStacker #CareerChanger #AlwaysBeLearning

Hey, it's #factfriday... Picture this: you're at your favorite watering hole. The air smells like stale beer and questionable decisions. Suddenly, a trivia contest pops up! And for reasons beyond comprehension, there's a round on Salesforce. You're thinking, "Salesforce? Seriously?" If, by some wild cosmic fluke, that happens, here are some riveting tidbits on Marc Benioff and the second company he launched: Early Start: At the age of 15, Marc Benioff founded Liberty Software, creating and selling games for the Atari 8-bit computer. Moving On Up: He used his software earnings to pay for college. At 23, he started working at #Oracle, becoming one of the company's youngest VPs just three years later. He considers Larry Ellison a close friend and mentor. Major (pun intended) Audiophile: Marc is a self-confessed music fanatic. He hired the Foo Fighters to play along with three giant mascots at Salesforce’s annual Dreamforce event. 1-1-1 Model Pioneer: He established the 1-1-1 model, in which companies contribute 1% of equity, 1% of employee hours, and 1% of products or services back to the community. Bought Time Magazine: 2018 Marc and his wife Lynne acquired Time Magazine for $190 million. #salesforcepartner #salesforce Image Credit: MarketWatch
