Is this hypocrisy or delusions? Or both! In a society, where 95% men do not give fair share to their sisters from inheritance. In a society, that has 80% courts cases against their blood relationship over property disputes and money. In society, where from top to bottom everywhere you can not get any thing done without bribe. In a society, where life saving drugs are sold in black market at 20x the price. In a society, where teacher don't tech properly so they can tech tuition after school. In a society, where Generals sell their country screct to enemies for their kids scholarships, green cards, and citizenship. In a society, where Journalists are on payroll of political parties. In a society, where you can hire judges and instead of hiring lawyers. In a society, where everyone has been victim of financial fraud by friends or business partners. In a society, where they sell fake medicine, substandard eatable products. I can give you 100s more examples. But how dare you judge us... "Money is not our goal" "Money is not everything" "Money is not our pirority" Yeah right money is not your priority, you just have EVIL DNA!

"You can't take it with you when you go." This is a misguided thing people say about money. They stress the transient nature of material possessions, so others will value money less. But valuing money less isn’t a good goal. I support encouraging others to prioritize experiences, relationships, and personal fulfillment over the pursuit of wealth. But money’s a tool — not an evil. It can be used for good or bad purposes. (Or maybe neutral ones?) And it’s not actually transient anyway. Or at least my money doesn’t cease to exist the moment I die. Someone else will use that cash once I’m gone…. either for good or bad. So the idea of my death doesn't prompt me to value money less, but rather to value even more teaching my children how to use money for good. How do you teach your children to use money for good? 💵

THE POWER OF MONEY Money is undeniably powerful! 1. It's an enabler Money gives the ability to do things. When one has money, their capability spectrum enlarges; the list of things they can do in life grows longer. Money will enable you to walk nearer to things you would otherwise walk away from. Money opens stubborn doors; not necessarily because you dished out some of it, but just the sheer knowledge or perception by other people that you have money. 2. It's an options giver With money, one can explore available options for anything within reach. The options just become many. Money helps people to reignite their suppressed rights. Suddenly they remember their right to choose another place of residence; another eating joint, another school for their children, another mode of transport, another mode of recreation and so on. 3. It's a determinant A big percentage of how we handle our lives today is determined by the strength of our financial muscle. Money determines where, how and when we eat. It determines how, where and when we shop. It determines where we stay. Sadly, it still determines who ascends to political power. Flamboyance seems to appeal more to people's political emotions than ideas. Whatever money does for you, be careful to spend it in a way that allows you to keep part of its power with you for as long as possible. Have a powerful day! Coach Roy Okonji

MONEY IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AS THE MAN! Money is a product of man's wickedness, insecurity, and fear. Money is indeed a human invention, and it reflects our values and our fears. In many ways, it's a tool of power and control. Those who have money can use it to influence and manipulate others, and those who lack money can feel powerless and marginalized. But when you see through this illusion, when you realize that money is just a tool and not the end-all-be-all, you can find freedom and empowerment.

Society has a major influence in how individual Financial Decisions are made and in how we are Socialised to understand Money. Myself and a colleague once went on an ethnographic endeavour; we changed R10 to loose R1 coins and gave it to a group of kids playing in our street, they were aged between 3 & 6 years. With no time they all gravitated to "Kwa My friend" the Spaza shop. And we found that this is the long and the short definition of how we interact with Money: we see it for immediate exchange "spending without consideration" This then becomes a permanent feature in how we deal with money even in our adult life. The impact of that R1 observation was the buying itself left an emotional imprint on the kids and this feeling comes back every time they have to interact with Money. We could not hold those kids accountable for their financial decisions, it's the environment we're raised in that teaches consumption without consideration. #MoneyAndEmotions #FinancialBehaviour #FinancialPlanning

What "they" (psychologists and researchers on the subject of money and its effects) say about the impacts of having too little money (financial and material poverty) and having too much of money (affluence). 1. They say money makes wise people wiser and foolish people even more foolish. 2. It is not money that is evil, but too much love for money is the problem-loving money and using people instead of using money and loving people. 3. Psychology research says that affluence often comes with huge psychological and behavoural costs to the affluent and their families. Especially they say many children grown up in affluence without proper parenting are prone to a lot of behavioural and psychological issues including drug and substance abuse, depression and antisocial behaviour. 4. Psychologists also say that having a lot of money can change a person's behaviour and make the person less empathetic and some become addicted to accumulation and getting more and more money. 5. They say money makes people happier only to a certain level and thereafter more money does not lead to more happiness. 6. They also say money exposes the true character of a person more than any other thing. 7. They also say people can lose more valuable things in life like enjoying family and social life, holidays, relaxing while pursuing accumulation of money only to realise after they have too much of it that the money does not make them as happy as they expected.
Negative sentiments around money can stem from various sources, including cultural beliefs, personal experiences, and societal influences. Some common reasons for negative feelings about money include: 1. **Guilt:** People may feel guilty about having money, especially if they perceive others as less fortunate or if they believe they have not earned it ethically. 2. **Fear:** Fear of losing money, not having enough, or making poor financial decisions can lead to negative emotions. 3. **Shame:** Individuals may feel ashamed of their financial situation, especially if they are struggling financially or have made past mistakes with money. 4. **Comparison:** Comparing one's financial status to others can lead to feelings of inadequacy or jealousy, contributing to negative sentiments about money. 5. **Cultural Beliefs:** Cultural norms and values around money can influence how people perceive wealth and success, leading to negative associations. 6. **Traumatic Experiences:** Negative experiences related to money, such as bankruptcy, fraud, or financial loss, can impact one's attitudes and emotions towards money. 7. **Lack of Education:** A lack of financial literacy or understanding of how money works can lead to anxiety or confusion about financial matters. It's important to recognize these negative sentiments and work towards developing a healthier relationship with money through education, reflection, and seeking support if needed.

THE MEANING OF MONEY Money is ‘fungible’, meaning that it is a neutral entity that can be exchanged for anything. Nothing about money itself determines what it can be exchanged for. The fungibility of money is its advantage. Money is equally fungible from a psychological point of view. It can mean anything. Here are some examples that I have seen from my Constellations and coaching work: 1. To me money represents SAFETY. We never had enough money growing up and it made me scared. 2. To me money represents INDEPENDENCE. I’ve been let down by people I relied on. 3. To me money represents GETTING ATTENTION. I was ignored growing up. 4. To me money represents SUCCESS. I have always looked on people without money as losers. 5. To me money represents POSSIBILITY. I always felt held back growing up. 6. To me money represents SURVIVAL. When I was poor I felt so vulnerable. 7. To me money represents MAKING MY PARENTS PROUD. They always wanted me to do better than them. 8. To me money represents DEFIANCE. Where I come from people never had money. 9. To me money represents REST. When I didn’t have money I was always working. It feels wild that we continue to allow money, a concept created to aid our collective survival, stand in the way of our highest potential. We are debating if it makes “financial” sense to preserve the planet we live on. We need to “find a way to pay for” social and environment solutions. But we have very little reservation about funding the engines that create weapons or hazards that threaten our existence. We have an enormous capacity to educate, nurture, develop and mobilize our global community like never before and we don’t because we’re not sure how the money works out. But enthusiastically produce billions in a flash to do something violent or frivolous. Of course there are very real resource limitations. There are only so many seconds in a day, so much land to utilize, so many fish in the sea. But money hasn’t proven successful at helping us best manage those limitations- even on the social and political side. Money has not made us more collaborative and trusting nor has it made us better stewards of the earth. I have felt insane for even contemplating the efficacy of money because it’s such a fixed component of our reality. A core component with deeply ingrained utility and authority. But money having functionality isn’t enough. Money is still a proxy for actual value. This opportunity to create in harmony with the bounty of resources on our planet and in each other is the value- not digital and physical notes, bills and coins we use to pay for it. We can reshape how the world works, how money works. How we work and live. And it could be more valuable than all the currency in the world could count- even as many today try. But we steeply underestimate ourselves. The “how” is important but not before believing in how good it could be. We will recreate the same disparity and disharmony if we’re convinced some injustice is necessary. Start by asking “why” and “what if” more often and entertaining the hard to imagine. We are currently living the unimaginable fantasies of generations before us. Make it real within your mind and heart first. The rest will follow.

Fellow Citizens: Why have we allowed our beloved country to become the laughing stock of the world? Are there no sober, serious people left in this country? As many of you know, I am one of this country's harshest critics, but this is my home and I care about what happens to it. This is not about politics, it's about the continuance of the social order. We have allowed our public education system to deteriorate so much that it no longer produces citizens capable of understanding that what we are doing in this country is extremely rare in the history of civilization- full civil participation by every strata of the society. Most people in the world live in no such circumstance. Their lives are directed by people over whom they have no control. At least on paper, that is not supposed to be the case here. We could go on ad infinitum about the cause(s) or our current dilemma, but there is one thing I know we will HAVE to acknowledge if we have any hope of survival at all: We have to SAY OUT LOUD that the construct of RACE, as formulated by Europe and America, is a fallacious, fraudulent HOAX played on the world so that men (in this case "white" men, but who the culprit is is not important; understanding the truth is) could make a lot of money. Bottom line. RACE IS A LIE. It's just like the mainframe: if we don't get that one right, it really doesn't matter what else we fix. The country will still be broken and will eventually dissolve, because a lie cannot endure into eternity.
