Would you have every expected this of a brand like Tiffany & Co? Probably not. Is it genious? Completely!! This collaboration introduces Pokémon and Daniel Arsham fans to T&Co. Sure they’ve probably heard of the brand, but had they considered purchasing jewellery from them before? Sometimes it’s a big risk to try things outside of your brands core customer, but as those customers age, it’s important to ensure you’re capturing the next generation of customers. Otherwise you risk your brand loosing relevance, it’s luster and inevitability sales. Note that these are always calculated risks, with research of the audience you want to capture and their alignments. What stage of life is your customer base at? Do you need to start evolving for the next generation?
