Chief Product Officer at MoneyGram International

I'm glad to see people liking the article. Having started my career outside of Product Management myself I'm often asked by others how to make the shift. Hopefully some of the points in here can help those who are curious about this exciting career path as well.

Love this Sara Vassar... I too made a pivot from "outside" and I think there were a couple of key ingredients: 1 - learning as much as possible about product management while in my other role, 2 - making it known I was interested, 3 - having leaders take a chance on me. Thanks to John McCloskey, Karen Beck Stroup, Bethany Kinsella for taking a chance on me. Also big thanks to Sara Vassar who I've worked for more than once for all of your coaching. I wouldn't have jumped off some cliffs without your push.
