This week, I had the pleasure of being the keynote speaker at the Reuters Future of Insurance USA 2024 event in Chicago. I shared how we might consider the impact that global forces have on our business and how we can stay ahead of evolving stakeholder expectations. For us at Delta Dental Ins., it’s by leaning into our purpose and bringing it to the center of our business strategy. I closed the session with, “We all want to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, working for a common vision and purpose. And improving the health of all Americans is a pretty compelling case to me. We are honored to partner with the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) to support their mission of empowering Veterans to lead high-quality lives. One of the most powerful aspects of being part of their National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic is hearing and sharing the stories and voices of Veterans. As the daughter of a retired Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army, this work is especially meaningful to me. As I prepared to step into my role as CEO, I knew partnering with providers was one of my top priorities. As we think about how we can support patients in managing all aspects of their oral health, we know providers are critical partners in that journey. Last week, I had the opportunity to attend our very first in-person Provider Advisory Council meeting in Austin, TX. This forum brings together a representative population of providers from our network, where we listen and collect feedback. It’s also an avenue for us to collaborate in new ways and shape our approach to expanding access to care, together. It was wonderful connecting with this group, and I’m excited for what’s to come as we make meaningful progress toward our shared goal of improving health. #healthcare #oralhealth #lifeatddins
