This year school children were very active collecting money for others. Among them was the Cycle 1 from Ettelbruck. The kids even made us these great signs in place of a cheque. The children were adorable and we thank them, their parents and the teaching staff for everything. #helpchildreninneed #schoolsrock #ettelbruck #childrenhelpingchildren

For many parents, the burden of sending their children to school weighs heavy, with nine out of ten families worried they can't afford the essential items their kids need to learn. Without these essentials, young people struggle to complete their schoolwork and keep up with their peers, feeling like the odds are stacked against them. Every young person deserves an equal shot at success. Yet, without the right support, many are left behind, forced to give up their dreams. Your support can break the cycle of disadvantage. By providing essential items like textbooks, internet access, and digital devices, you can give them a chance to dream big. Donate today and help turn dreams into reality for young people in Melbourne’s west. https://lnkd.in/gb9DP4-V

CCSD and CCEA are putting their employees in financial difficulties that are unnecessary. Instead of fixing the problem CCSD wants to call their workers childish names in the media, and the CCEA refuses to accept anything less than what teachers will require in the next two years. As a result, teachers in CCSD are continuing to receive cost of living increases, pay decreases and NO incentives as they wait for arbitration, which may take another two years beyond the two years they are currently negotiating for. The financial burden for the Clark County School District is being placed on the teachers or their families donations (Donor's Choose and similar programs). Actions mean more and consequently speak louder than empty words. NO media outlets are reporting on the real struggles, because there is no profit in it. Employees aren't important to the media and they especially aren't important to CCSD! That's the message received from their cold hearted and ineffective actions and one I can no longer keep silent on.

"Tax-Credit Scholarships in Operation - EdChoice Tax-credit scholarships allow taxpayers to receive full or partial tax credits when they donate to nonprofits that provide private school scholarships. Eligible taxpayers can include both individuals and businesses. The amount of tax credits distributed is capped at an amount determined by the legislature, which, in turn, affects the availability and size of scholarships." #cfefund #educationaladvocacy #scholarship #bettereducation #sweetestday

5 ways to contribute to quality education for the underprivileged 1. You can offer your time and expertise as a volunteer or teacher for children from impoverished backgrounds. 2. You can donate your old books, stationary, uniform and other resources to these kids who are in dire need of the same. 3. You can contribute to scholarship assistance for ensuring quality education of these children 4. You can involve your friends and acquaintances to create makeshift library systems for the children #qualityeducationforall #basiceducation

Accounting Warriors: Trust in these tax notes 😉 Top Tip 1: Always identify the parties involved in the transaction to identify FROM WHO the money is coming from and TO WHO the money is going 🫡 Top Tip 2: Income from donated assets vested in minor children ALWAYS reverts to the donor ☝️ Top Tip 3: Section 7 rules ceases to apply when the originating donor has passed away ☝️ #CTA #TRUSTTAX #AccountingWarriors #AccountingStudents #TaxStudents #APC #ITC

Today, on World Book Day, let's focus on the importance of personal finance education for young people 📚 Introduce children to books that teach them about money, saving, and financial responsibility. I would recommend “Grandpa’s Fortune Fables” by Will Rainey 👱🏻♂️. Each chapter explains key concepts and principals about money, wealth, risk, gambling, charity. My children and I enjoyed the chapter about Richie Raccoon - being wealthy vs being rich (a clear difference) P.S Do you have any recommendations for children's books on personal finance? #WorldBookDay #youngpeople #financialeducation #children

Did you know? School can still be expensive, even when it's free! While many countries offer free basic education, hidden costs like uniforms, books, and exam fees can create a significant barrier for families. These costs can reach up to 40% of a household's income, forcing children to drop out or delay their education to work and support their families. Here's where Smart Foundation can help! We support children in need by providing essential resources like uniforms and textbooks, alleviating the financial burden on families and keeping kids in school.
