This is a must-read, especially if you need a pick-me-up!
A lot of people feel disconnected in spite of social media or because of it. Jonny Beardmore has a unique way of trying to connect with people personally and bring people together. Originally from New Zealand, the London based consultant is hand delivering 50 postcards left in a Galapagos Island "post office." The year-long venture is taking him across seven continents. He's also raising money for Motor Neuron Disease research in honor of his dad, Eric, who died from the disease, in 2022. A common form of Motor Neuron Disease is ALS, and it often robs a person of the ability to walk and talk, things we take for granted. Beardmore, by the way, packed only one, carry on bag, for his year-long trip and has already traveled 32,000 miles. He plans to wrap up March 1, 2025 and is posting updates of his Galapagos Postman Challenge along the way on Instagram. #ALS, #greatadventure, #MotorNeuronDisease, #reconnecting
