Owners of sports rights struggle to maximize audience reach, while media companies grapple with escalating sports rights costs. Stakeholders fiercely compete for profit, creating a zero-sum game, in an unsustainable market. The industry crossed the point of no return years ago.

While the survey provides much valuable insights, I think it lacks a clear distinction between men's and women's sports. Men's sports may have reached a peak economically, akin to a dot-com bubble, while women's sports are on the rise. Whats the impact of women’s sports❓ What will happen if/ when the men’s bubble explodes❓

Broadcasters require enhanced personalized capabilities, gaining better control over their product and monetization on various media screens, while overcoming constraints imposed by media gatekeepers.
