CEO/Director of ML/AI @ iSolutionsAI | Speaker | Actively deploying #AI services to business decision makers that safely leverage artificial intelligence with high upside ROI.
I revisit this clip various times a year. These comments have provided guiding principles for my tech decisions for decades. Another anecdote: The moment when Steve first saw momentum scrolling on an iPod Touch and had the epiphany, "We could create a phone!" It wasn't just about him; it was his remarkable ability to discern customer needs within the landscape of existing technology. The legend also goes that he visited Xerox PARC, encountered a graphical user interface (GUI), and envisioned putting it into the hands of everyone. Once more, it's about recognizing these needs when intimately familiar with available technology. However, at the heart of his insights lies this fundamental principle: "Begin with understanding customer needs and then adapt the technology accordingly." My good friend and colleague, Ken Rosen (who worked with Steve) shared a quote with me once while we were discussing this same clip that resonates here: "Creativity thrives within constraints." In this context, tech awareness, encompassing one's skills and the existing technological landscape, serves as those constraints. This preparedness empowers inventive individuals to identify customer needs with the confidence that they can be translated into feasible solutions.
Steve Jobs handling a tough question at the 1997 Worldwide Developer Conference. He had just returned to Apple as an advisor and was guiding sweeping change at the company. A great lesson no matter how I look at it, first I see the arrogance and ego of the technician to want to redicularize the founder of Apple in a conference, claiming that he did not know Java in depth, I think he is a fool not to understand that what he knew was what kept him in this job, that he has been hired to develop his knowledge in the company and not to want to run it. Normally it is easy to tell the CEO or the General Manager how to fix the company or this or that, but if we do our job well and we are aware that not all of us have the same knowledge but this is the strength of our company, then we are on the right path to excellence. This Mr Steve Jobs comments remind me of Safekab and Safewalk. We need to demonstrate to people what benefit Safekab/Safewalk will bring to Customer, Drivers, Operators and the community we are working with. Have a look at safekab website and find out. "www.safekab.co.uk"

Helping Organisations navigate the challenges of Cloud. All views, opinions and comments on LinkedIn are my own.
Some called him a genius. Some were less complimentary (the guy in the audience was direct but reasonably polite) But understanding someone’s vision is critical! It can, and often does lead to greatness. There is no doubting that the Company Steve Jobs built, turned into one of the tech sectors Giants. Sometimes you might think the idea is a bit “out there!” a bit crazy…. but go with it!! Sometimes “the little people” can think big too!! #Sovereigncloudsolutions #SovereingcloudAI #Therightcloudforyourorganisation #Theresurgenceofprivatecloudastheanswer

“Start with the customer experience first, then work backwards through the technology.” What I love about this statement is you can change the word technology to just about anything. My word is Design. What is your word?

Repurposing the post/ video below, in this 1997 Q&A session, Steve Jobs says: “One of the things I’ve always found is that.. you’ve gotta start with the customer experience and work backwards to the technology. You can’t start with technology and then try to figure out where you’re going to sell it.” Apple’s rise under Steve Job’s leadership is the perfect validation as to why the first two steps in the design thinking process are crucial. What do we need? What do we want? How do we want it? #emphasize #problemframing #solutiondesign

Leadership isn't about knowing everything, it's about empowering those around you who are amazing at what they do. Removing the barriers. Leaders keep everything moving towards the goal, the vision, the strategy. Where the combination of each unit is substantially strong than the individual parts.

I help activewear business owners reduce unsold new collections through predicting what their customer wants and how much inventory they need
We're sometimes too busy finding or developing a better product to sell while forgetting about the customers whom we sell it to. And I think this is one possible reason why some businesses are not taking off. This is a cliche' to most business owners but we failed to do it. A great reminder from Steve Jobs, "Start with the customer experience and work backwards with the technology. You can't start with the technology and figure out where you're gonna try to sell it. " And right now we've got tons of data that will tell us a lot about our customers. Why not use them to our advantage? It's better to spend more time analyzing who our customers are and what they need than cranking on our product ideas right away. After all, great product comes from better customer knowledge. #customerexperience #customerinsights #customerbehavior https://lnkd.in/gtxur2Um
