Thank you CIPD EDI for an inspiring and engaging Equality, Diversity and Inclusion conference. It was packed with great speakers and actionable takeaways. It was wonderful to hear lots of speakers reference the importance of neurodiverse teams, and recognising your internal talent. For creating a neuro-inclusive culture, our top 3 takeaways are the importance of: 💫 Data - understand your organisation. Use data to focus attention and get senior leadership buy-in 💫 Employee Research Group's (ERG) - engage active employee groups who can share lived experience 💫 Enabling physiological safety - raise awareness and start a conversation with your teams And there was an acceptance that, to use an overused word, neuroinclusion is a journey and one that looks different for every organisation. Last Friday, Fipto attended 👉 the Diversity Fresco 👈 organized by Serena. 🤝 We were delighted to have been able to participate in this event to raise awareness about discrimination and to challenge preconceptions surrounding issues of discrimination and inclusion within any organization. 🤝 💡 Why would we recommend performing this workshop with other HR representatives? 💡 1️⃣ Although organizations’ HR teams are becoming increasingly aware of these issues, having a dedicated moment to discuss discrimination, bias, stereotypes, and preconceptions is a good refresher to evaluate your internal process and limit your negative impact. 2️⃣ Meeting other HR representatives, and sharing experience and good practices with them to foster diversity and inclusion, is always important to iterate on your own practices. 🗣 Fully erasing discrimination in any organization is not an easy task but thanks to tools like 👉 the Diversity Fresco 👈, we can continue raising awareness around this topic. Therefore, we’d like to thank Serena for this enlightening workshop hoping that more and more HR professionals will use it to find new approaches to face this topic, leading to more inclusive and thriving workplace environments.

Recently, I had the privilege to discuss the leadership challenges faced by international medical graduates in the NHS at a workshop organized by Yorkshire Deanery. While diversity and inclusion initiatives are being implemented, it's essential to ask ourselves if we are doing enough to make everyone feel truly belong. The question is, are we only ticking off the boxes on the diversity and inclusion checklist, or are we genuinely working towards promoting belongingness?
