Rishi Sunak lost the UK elections, but the real heartbreak is felt in India. After all, " India ke damaad ji haar gaye" hits different! #SamparkSeSampark #RishiSunak #JustForLaughs #India #UK
More like "Sunak raha hai na tu, Ro raha hu main?"
Don’t perform … Get kicked out. UK is not India
No mate. Rishi was very gracious in his defeat. Took responsibility for the loss. These are values that every Indian would be proud of thier damaad. He did really well during his tenure, albeit short, of turning the economy around and deepening international relations. He will always be lurking outside the door for the new inductee. Much like the terminator he will be back. My 2 pennies worth. Cheers
Rishi Sunak is dedicated citizen of UK and he accepted defeat humbly and acknowledged publically. He tried doing things better for UK. UK is fully meshed up, will take time. Nuisance , India kaa Damaad. He is Damaad of some Indian citizens that's all. Like that there are millions of such people spread globally. Rishi Sunak is a British Citizens and prior to that his father was citizen of some African Country.
He was never an Indian, I don’t know why we Indian are so sensitive about him !
I don't think we should take it that way. 1. Indian or not we are all brothers and sisters (beta, damad, and so on) and global citizens. 2. He gave his best and got elected with a good lead in his constituency, took accountability, and gracefully resigned. Also, perhaps there are now the highest no. of Indian-origin MPs in the British Parliament. 3. So the loss cannot be attributed to him entirely but the baggage of the past from other leaders that he was carrying 4. In this way, even the labor party had to reposition them at the center. 5. Lastly, we can't forget that Rishi wasn't a publicly elected PM and wasn't the first choice; he was chosen after Liz Truss.
Haha, daamad ji haar toh gaye. Like Anchal said, and I agree, it was wrong time for him. But at the same time, leaders shine when they steer out of the storms. Also I sense that Sunak particularly stayed a bit away from India to display no bias towards his sasural. That could have been managed differently I assume. The Labour won with "close parternship with India" as one of their top 3 political agendas for this election.
Becoming the Prime Minister of the very people who ruled over us is achievement enough. He came but delivering is another aspect not all can see through. Sitting in #churchill ‘s chair is not everyone’s game. That he even went that close is history made.
