What marketing tactics are working the best right now for advisors to actually produce growth? I surveyed my friends on social media, and the answers were soooo good (and specific). Here's some of what I heard👇 🤝 Hosting client events Emory G. Hendrix Jr., AAMS® has found A LOT of success hosting events! In fact, 90% of his new business comes from client introductions and client events. If you haven't already - give webinars a try. Webinars are a low-cost, low-lift type of event that works so great because you can invite anyone, anywhere - and ask them to bring a friend!- yet only 24% of advisors have ever hosted a webinar. 🎥 Create video You know I ❤️ video marketing! And it’s working for Mike Zung, CFP®, founder of Java Wealth Planning, LLC, as well. He has found most of his success on YouTube (not surprising - Youtube is the second largest search engine, and people who aren't yet connected with you have a MUCH better chance of finding your video there). Video is an incredible way to provide information in an engaging way. 📱 Social media With an astounding 4.9 billion people on social media, you don't need me to tell you it's a great way to build an audience. And Dustin DeFranco, founder of DeFranco Financial, has found a lot of success on Facebook and community involvement. He sponsors local teams and then connects those community sponsorships to his social media posts - getting great engagement on his posts. It’s a great way to support your local community while also building your own brand. (click over to the article to see how he does it) 📧 Email marketing Jeremy Walter, founder of Fident Financial, LLC, uses weekly emails as a way to build trust and provide value to prospects and clients. The ROI of email is incredible, as you can reach thousands of people with a single click! And according to a recent YCharts report, it’s the preferred method of communication for most clients (If you have trouble with weekly email marketing - check out FMG 's "Do It For Me" Marketing program - Susan Theder and I write weekly emails for you to use as-is OR edit and make your own) 🎙️ Podcasts Ryan Burklo, WMCP®, RICP®, RICP® and Alex Collins, ChFC ®, CFP ®'s podcast “Beer and Money” is described on their site as a “financial fireside chat.” What I love about podcasts is the conversational manner. It’s a fun way to connect with your audience while teaching them something. Don't have a podcast of your own? Try appearing as a guest on other's podcasts. Rubin Miller, CFA of Peltoma Capital Partners appeared on 3 podcasts and got three new booked prospects from that alone in 3 months! In the almost 10 years I have been presenting, I have NEVER seen an audience chat like this one 😍 Last week, we hosted the FMG NEW ERA tour - and IT. WAS. 🛑 Stop asking for visitors to provide their phone number on your website when downloading an ebook, guide, one-pager, etc. This is one of the quickest ways to DECREASE ↘ conversions. WHY? These are all SECONDARY CTAs 👉 What is a "secondary CTA"? Its a way to capture website visitors who are NOT YET READY to book a time to meet with you or talk to you by phone - its why we add: - ebooks - downloads - guides - quizzes to our websites - a way to capture emails so that we can start "dripping" great information on these folks over time. ✅ For these type of lead-generation tools, Ask for: 1. name and 2. email That's it. Asking for a phone number is the fastest way to reduce conversions (or, to get a whole bunch of fake phone numbers). If someone wanted to talk to you - they would schedule a time on your calendar, fill out your "connect with us" form, or..... pick up the phone and call you themselves. For the first time since 2020, the number of Americans with an estate plan has DECLINED. Today, just 32% of Americans have an estate plan, down from 38% a year ago Why? The Top reasons for NOT having an estate plan: 🔸 Procrastination (43%) 🔸 Believing they didn’t have enough assets (40%) ^ And this misconception of "not having enough assets" has RISEN from 33% in 2022 to 35% in 2023. At the same time, estate planning is highly desired by families of all income levels. Write like people talk. Skip the fluff Most Americans tend to read at an 8th or 9th grade level. And when we are scanning messaging online, we read even faster, scan more often, and focus on only that which we understand. ❌Our robust process integrates all elements of your holistic, comprehensive financial plan into one place ✅ Investments, tax planning, budgeting, insurance; clients tell us the thing they find most helpful about working with us is that that we play point on it all. Most people will read the first example and walk away unable to explain what your value is. Not the same case with the second. The second is WAY better. Remember, you know your clients. You know how they speak. Use THEIR words. Write so that a 6th grader could read it and “get it”. If you want an easy way to see what "grade level" your writing is, you can check the Flesch Kincaid level of your writing. (The Flesch–Kincaid readability tests are standard tests designed to indicate how difficult text in English is to understand) Here's how: --> Copy and paste the text into Word. --> Select the Home tab. --> Choose Editor, and then go to Document stats. --> A dialog box will appear letting you know Word is calculating your document stats. Choose OK. #copywriting #websitedesign #contentmarketing
