How to resolve conflict? There are two common reasons of conflicts 1. Difference in opinion (intellectual) - A lot of debates evolve around what to do but the right discussion should be on the goal - Start by understanding what goals people are trying to achieve - Otherwise, it's like debating if taking the plane or the train is better when one is going to Korea while the other is going to Shenzhen from HK More on second type of conflict in next post

Up coming event: Exile: A Legal History of the Expulsion of Japanese Canadians, 1946 In this talk, professors Eric M. Adams and Jordan Stanger-Ross preview their book in progress, Exile: A Legal History of the Expulsion of Japanese Canadians. With close attention to the people who made the exile policy, the lawyers and judges who decided its fate, and the Japanese Canadians expelled from home, the book asks readers to see the uprooting and internment of Japanese Canadians in a new light: one that focuses attention not on how the policy began, but rather the depths to which it eventually sank. My column in ArinaID discusses the Israel-Palestine conflict and recent efforts to address it, focusing on the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Indonesia's involvement underscores a shift towards legal mechanisms, aligning with constructivist theories in international relations. The ICJ's potential advisory opinion is seen as crucial for clarifying legal principles. The article advocates for a comprehensive approach, combining legal, diplomatic, and socio-economic strategies for lasting peace, emphasizing global collective responsibility. https://lnkd.in/grHNh5Tg

Behind every successful man, there's a woman. To become more successful, there should be more woman behind. - Pak Man Telo. I might be one of the few man who given a greenlight by wife long time ago to marry another one if her terms fulfilled, and her terms are more about her security (financially and future, modestly) rather than in same level with Beyoncé. Given a greenlight doesn't mean you should do it recklessly, albeit dalam hati memang gumbira sekali (inside, me joyful profusely, so to speak). When we given a chance, we always abuse it. But when we have laws to prohibit it, we do it in every holes that we can stick it into, as we say 'the law meant to be broken'. Now you know why in Qur'an, everything is halal unless stated otherwise, because men are being known as an entity that try to find holes rather than burying it. But when Malaysian laws about everything is haram unless stated otherwise, that is when me you your neighbour and your cat will find other ways to do whatever we want to do, albeit it's illegal in textbooks. I only spent 2 years nearly 24/7 in classroom under Special Japanese Preparatory Programme in University of Malaya until 1996 before went to Japan. And only to move to KL again from Sarawak since 2006 to register Twistcode and (get my ex-girlfriend but failed to do so), and only get to know KL/Peninsular Malaysia better. Peninsular Malaysia is a mess, from me a Sarawakian point of view. When your head (federal) is in a mess, your body would be in a mess too. And we always think foreigners/investors are dumb enough not able to read on what's happening in Malaysia. If we know what happened in Palestine, don't assume outsiders don't understand/know about Malaysia. We can fool everyone every time, but not all the time. All blueprints came and keep on coming from Federal, but we know where we stands. Sarawak Sabah don't want to lead the federal not because we might have better common senses than the Peninsular, but we know we can't stand it if these people keep on arguing talking dissing among themselves. Even PMX said how he wish the Federal can emulates Sarawak gov yesterday about unity etc, and that says a lot about his administration. We always support the gov of the day, but some policymakers have to go. Private sector calls it 'you got fired'. Pity on those startups, SMEs that want to have stonger footholds on these trying times, but clouded by this mess. Other places are in war because they've lost the peace, in Malaysia we are at war while at peace. The latter one is more dangerous. You can do it better, Malaysia. Because that's all we have left. #malaysia #malaysiadigital #mydigital #digitalmalaysia #startups #enterpreneurships #economy #war #peace #commonsense #makelovenotwar #tambahbini #butangakumanapah
