Those #retailers differentiate themselves from others by embracing their willingness to make mistakes. Implementing new technologies is a #journey, much like climbing the Himalayas. Every retailer should ask him/her self: Do I want to dream big and be the first to gain the glory and money? Or, do I prefer to follow others, gain from their experiences, minimizing my risks during the implementation of new technologies, yet increase the risk of loosing to the competition. Morning thoughts from Paris.. 🗯 🗼 Is the retail market here in France in general and Paris in particular smarter and more advanced than the rest of the world? What do they know that we don't? Why do some retailers say that the market here in Paris is more mature? Yesterday I arrived in Paris for the annual retail exhibition and meetings with our partners in Hanshow and towards the opening of additional markets and the launch of innovation to the existing markets. We went on a tour of Paris streets and entered stores of global retailers in fashion, make-up and perfume, home wear, sports wear and also in food. What all these businesses have in common is that they all have electronic shelf labels #esl of various sizes and brands to display #prices , #promotions and product descriptions. What is the secret that is known here that retailers have not yet discovered? In my opinion there is no secret and the answer is really simple. The retailers here just started! They are in Innovation consciousness and took the opportunity to know more their stores. They started a few years ago to implement store by store, they examined technologies and their #functionality as well as the effect on #productivity and chose the product with the best return on investment for them. In addition, through electronic shelf labels it is possible to manage a dynamic pricing policy. I believe that the key to business #growth is in #experimentation , and in order to experiment - you must start.
