Our MVP BMO-AI is absolutely lightening fast in conversation response using the latest version of Llama. I love how it’s more realistic in the flow, like a conversation you would have with a human friend. A verbal ping pong game! I was really stoked about the release of AI at Meta’s Llama 3 models, especially Llama 3 8B since it purportedly offers performance similar to Llama 2’s 70B but at reduced cost and with much faster responsiveness, which is ideal for our little robot friends. My initial testing is really promising. This model adheres very well to context prompts, even after several turns, which was a big problem for us with older models and something I was eager to test. As for performance, just watch how quickly resoponses are being generated here, it’s incredibly snappy using OctoAI and, so far, I haven’t had any complaints about response quality. I’ll be doing much more testing over the weekend while working on our new robot release, so stay tuned! 😉
