We need more color in our lives. Offices, in particular, are too often designed with drab, institutional color standards that were intended for business cards and websites, not to connect and engage people. Check out how one remarkable organization, Project Color Corps, is using color in under-rescourced schools to bolster connection and engagement, and why offices should do the same! https://lnkd.in/g9g34XkT #workplacestrategy #workplacedesign #colortheory #rto #connection
i agree!! great piece Ryan Anderson i live above a branch of Scotiabank and they USED to have the most fabulous palette of colour on the walls. i loved looking in. they’ve just removed the variety now everything is a combo of red - their main brand colour, and black patterns. i’m so disappointed looking in now. i started a recent presentation by showing the audience how i changed the template to make it more appealing to me to work with. i had a slide saying “i depend on color!”
Love this and that you highlighted and quoted Laura Guido-Clark! Project Color Corp is moving mountains!
Cool, thanks for pointing this out. I am big into sensory tech for engagement, including color, sound and scent. Neurodiverse individuals do have some challenges with color choices, so worth considering the role and focal engagement the role requires in the design.
I'm a total suckah for a good before and after pic - thanks for providing the micro indulgence this morning!! (and of course, congrats on another well written and easily digestible insight share!)
This was such an inspiring read - really easy tounderestimate the change some thoughtful color design can make!
Love a spotlight on Laura Guido-Clark! I’m excited to see how her work contributes to the Intentional Spaces initiative!
Wonderful thought. Check out Publicolor, a NYC organization that paints Public Schools and a whole lot more.
Yes, 100x YES!
Absolutely agree!
