We would be remiss if we closed out the month of June and did not share photos of our Ryan Health team celebrating Pride 🌈 throughout the City. We love being outside offering free medical services and education to the communities that we serve!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! On Sunday, June 2, two remarkable Ryan Health team members, Fay Barrett, our esteemed Senior Director of Support Services, and Charles Shorter, the visionary Chief of Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships, were recognized and honored for their outstanding contributions to the SGL•LGBTQ community at The Legacy of Pride Awards! The Legacy of Pride Awards celebrate individuals who embody the spirit of political activism, advocacy, and community building. Fay and Charles' recognition is a testament to their tireless efforts and commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all. Let us celebrate them for their well-deserved honors; we continue to be inspired by their remarkable achievements! Congratulations, Fay and Charles! Your legacy of pride shines brightly, and we are incredibly proud to have you as valued team members. In observance of National Mental Health Awareness Month, our Ryan Health Mental Health department, led by Alicia Henderson, PhD, LCSW, partnered with Healthfirst on May 11th to present, Mayfest. Mayfest was held at the home of our Emotional Wellness Center, located at 801 Amsterdam Avenue. A very special thank you to Jemcare, NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness), Fountain House, Goddard Riverside, and Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center for joining us to provide onsite workshops, psychoeducation and various mental health resources to the community and for helping make Mayfest a great success!
