You're not in a bad culture if someone doesn’t like your work or someone doesn't agree with you. You're not in a bad culture if someone tries to hold you to a higher standard. You're not in a bad culture if someone say no to you. Feedback and challenge is part of growth, being in a place that can offer you this in a constructive and engaging way is being part of a good culture. Learning how to accept that feedback and learn from it is a skill everyone needs. #PerformanceCulture #AgencyLife #OperationalExcellency #PsychologicalSafety
You're probably in a bad culture if nobody says 'no' to you.
Acknowledging and taking on-board constructive feedback is such an underrated skill! Equally, so it giving constructive feedback.

I couldn’t agree more. 👏🏻
Effort in considering & crafting feedback, effort in receiving & digesting feedback- both so important!

3wAgree, however, the way feedback is perceived is extremely dependent on how it is presented to people. The way the recipient will respond to it very much depends on the presentation and the way the recipient feels when walking away from the feedback meeting. Approaching it with emotional intelligence is the key to providing good and constructive feedback, and for it to lead to improvement and success. If it's not done well, the recipient will feel negative about it, and that can very much have a negative impact on culture, psychological safety, trust, and eventually the recipient's further performance in the role.
