Last week our co-founder, Michael McNaught, was invited to speak at the 1st Inaugural Ottawa Tech Open held at The Marshes Golf Club in Kanata, Ontario. 🏌️♂️ Following a fantastic day on the greens, Michael joined a Fireside Chat alongside other industry leaders, sharing insights and experiences that highlight the innovative spirit of RVezy. Social Media Strategist | I help students, professionals, and small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) harness the power of LinkedIn | LinkedIn Profiles, Workshops, & Webinars
I went to the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. National Conference and decided to try and capture the experience. Look at me trying to be a real content creator 😆. The conference is targeted for Black chamber leaders and entrepreneurs on to help them grow their businesses and increase community leadership. It was at the beautiful and now Black-owned Waldorf Astoria in Washington, DC. Here are my takeaways from day one: 1️⃣ Don’t do it alone: Several of the speakers in several different session emphasized the importance of collaborating with other businesses to help you scale faster. 2️⃣ Get connected: Find out how to get connected to your local small business development center. There are so many resources available for Black business owners, and the local center can help you navigate how to best use those resources. 3️⃣ Build relationships: If you’re looking to secure corporate or federal contracts, start by introducing yourself to the decision makers. The good thing about this conference is that a lot the decision makers were in the room. We’ll see how how two goes! #professionaldevelopment #blackbusinesses #blackbusinessowner
