I was so honored to receive the Larry E. Temple Distinguished Service Award from the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association. Aside from being the industry's highest honor, I particularly enjoyed spending time with past recipients of the award, as well as Larry Temple himself (to the right of me in the photo), who is a wonderful human being and inexhaustible source of thoughtful advice and praise. In our office, our motto is "Customer Service is 'RUHL' Number One!!!" and I really credit that with the success we've had and the reason for remarkable events like this one. No greater warm, fuzzy feeling is there than to be honored by your peers as being among the very best in the industry. You're in distinguished company there, by the way . . .
