Dear Students, Parents, Colleagues, and World Language Department Family and Friends, As I retire after 18 wonderful years of teaching French and 10 fulfilling years as the World Language Department Chair at Johns Creek High School, I am filled with profound gratitude and heartfelt reflection. To my amazing and respectful students, thank you for bringing joy, curiosity, and enthusiasm into my classroom every day. Your dedication to learning has been a constant source of inspiration, and I am immensely proud of each and every one of you. Watching you grow, succeed, and embrace the beauty of the French language has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. To the supportive parents, your trust and encouragement have been invaluable. Thank you for believing in me and for your unwavering support. Your partnership has played a crucial role in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for our students. To my colleagues, thank you for the company, collaboration, and shared dedication to education. Working alongside such talented and committed professionals has enriched my journey immensely. Your support and friendship have been a pillar of strength throughout my career. To my world language department family and friends, your passion for language education and dedication to our students have been truly inspiring. Together, we have built a program that celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity, and I am confident that the department will continue to thrive and inspire future generations. As I embark on this next chapter of my life, I look forward to enjoying my 38 years of marriage to my wonderful husband Steve, being a devoted mother to Amanda, Diana, and Michael, being the best Mother-in-law possible to My son-in-law, Ben, and my daughter- in -law, Rachael, supportive sister to my siblings and extended family, and, most of all, cherishing my role as a grandmother to my beloved grandson Miles. Thank you all for being an integral part of my journey. I carry with me cherished memories and a heart full of gratitude. While I am excited for the adventures ahead, I will always hold the relationships and experiences formed at Northview High School and Johns Creek High School close to my heart. With heartfelt thanks and warmest wishes, Roya Schweinbeck
