Meet Kim Del Giudice, our Senior Manager of Sales! 💼 Q: Tell us a little bit about what you do at the Chargers. A: I am responsible for onboarding and managing the ticket sales team for the Chargers. Our job is to fill Sofi Stadium with Chargers fans by selling season tickets, group tickets, and mini plans. Q: How did you get started? A: Sports have always played a major role in my life whether I was playing or watching, and I knew I needed to find a way to work in the industry. In 2019, I had the opportunity to start selling Chargers seats at Sofi Stadium with a company called Legends. Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job? A: The most rewarding part of my role is seeing the growth and success of our team. Oftentimes, we start with recent college graduates who are working their first professional jobs. During my time at the Chargers, we have been able to promote 5 reps into internal and external promotions, which has been one of my favorite aspects. Q: Any advice for those trying to get a job in sports? A: Connect with as many people as possible, be resilient, adaptable, and a team player! #workinsports #sales

Even within the world of #sportsbiz I see a lot of revenue and sales opportuniteis from small market organizations and others that might be budget specific, that are heavily weighted with commision (by heavily I mean more than 50% of your expected pay is based on commisionable sales %) I'm curious about the perspectives of fellow revenue generators on these types of sales roles often presented as opportunities with high earning potential. Given the inherent challenges such as limited control over product and pricing or influence on key decisions that could significantly impact sales outcomes, these roles present unique risks. Moreover, the ability to negotiate commission rates based on experience varies widely, adding another layer of complexity to these positions. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts and experiences.
