Last weekend, members of our Roswell Park Unidos at Roswell (Hispanic Employee Network Resource Group) had the pleasure of attending the 53rd Annual Grease Pole Festival 🎉, an event that brings the community together to celebrate Puerto Rican traditions 🇵🇷. Starting in the early 1950s, the Grease Pole Festival is the longest-running ethnic festival in Buffalo. This event is special to us because our Roswell Park CARES program renovated the main stage that's used for this occasion. We are proud to support and celebrate this amazing event💙.

Each summer, the ATLAS Department at Roswell Park hosts the Buffalo Healthcare Exploration Program for high school students. The program welcomed 52 students, along with 12 returning student assistants, from public and city schools to the Roswell Park campus for the opportunity to delve into the world of healthcare. Through hands-on experiences and mentorship – including advice on empathy from WIVB/WNLO-TV (Nexstar Media Group)’s Jackie Walker – BHE equips young minds with valuable insights into a variety of medical disciplines, fostering their passion and interest in the healthcare field. 🧑⚕️👩⚕️🔬✨
