Happy to be sharing our third video snippet in our "Tighten Your Shoelaces" podcast episode featuring Jane Wight, the HR professional turned CEO of BOSS Trinidad.   In this snippet, Jane drops some serious wisdom and advice for HR professionals who want to progress in their careers. Jane condenses her advice into four powerful recommendations that any HR professional will find useful.   A few years back when I was developing our custom framework called “The Bhranding Equation” (Branding + HR = “Bhranding”), I went on what I called an “HR Listening Tour” where I called up as many HR professionals as I could and asked them about the roles and responsibilities of their current jobs, how they were seen by their colleagues, what they loved about their jobs, what they disliked and whether they had a seat at their company’s strategy table.   What I found was that the HR professionals who were the most satisfied about their jobs and who did have a seat at their companies’ strategy table all displayed personal characteristics that align with Jane’s four powerful recommendations! Coincidence? I think not.   If you are an HR professional, and you want to grow in your career, this video snippet was meant for you!
