Shout out to my fellow part-timers! Yes, some people choose to work part-time - even in high level positions. We are PERMANENT, W-2 employees and NOT interim, temporary, contract, or gig workers. We don't perceive our jobs as side hustles or just for pocket money. Our reduced work schedules do not equate to reduced dedication to meeting our goals or those of our employers. Our exceptional time management skills and ability to 100% focus on work during 100% of our work hours enable us to accomplish a remarkable amount for a fraction of the compensation package. If you are struggling to find the right full-time candidate, consider if the work for that position is all at the same level, all of the same nature, or will even really require 40 hours a week to complete. If not, being open to one or more permanent part-timers instead could save money and allow you to attract highly qualified candidates who are currently hard passing.

Why do you offer $145k for base salary for a seasonal package delivery driver on this website, but on your actual company website, it's nowhere near that amount? It's $23-$24 per hour. Even at $24 per hour, 60 hours per week, all 52 weeks in a year, will STILL only gross $74,884 per year... before taxes. Where is your math on this? $46.47 per hour, 10 hours per day, 6 days per week, 52 weeks per year... that will get you your $145k. According to your website, it's 4-5 days per week, 8-10 hours per day. So, let's do more math with the most ideally, yet unrealistic, numbers. $145k÷52 weeks÷50 hours per week = $55.76 per hour for a FULL TIME employee... before taxes, of course. So... really, UPS , Nando Cesarone, what is it? Can we get some REAL clarity?

Part-time controller on an hourly basis? For the heck of it, this morning I responded to a text message from a recruiter who was advertising a part-time controller position apparently in the work plan size and type of industry that I normally handle. It probably met my minimum budget requirements. But it was advertised as hourly W2 work. I can't imagine doing that type of work on an hourly basis since it is so fragmented and decentralized. It was difficult to comment further without details. But I thought at least I could put out a nice vibe that this is the type of work I seek. Part time controller positions are rarely advertised here on LinkedIn (or maybe I just do not see them), so my knowledge is limited to offline experience. Is this common?

What's the sizzling contrast between temporary employment and contractual commitments? Temporary employment and contractual employment are both forms of non-permanent work arrangements, but they differ in their duration, purpose, and terms. Temporary Employment: Temporary employment typically refers to short-term positions where an individual is hired for a specific period to fulfill a particular role or meet temporary staffing needs. These positions often do not come with the same benefits or job security as permanent positions. For Example in Friends tv series, when Rachel Green works as a waitress at Central Perk coffeehouse, she can be considered a temporary employee. Her employment is based on the need for servers at the coffeehouse. Rachel's job is not a long-term career plan; instead, it's a temporary solution to her immediate financial needs and career transition. Contractual Employment: Contractual employment involves an agreement between an employer and an employee for a specified period or project. Contracts outline the terms and conditions of employment, including the duration, responsibilities, compensation, and benefits. Contractual employees may receive benefits depending on the terms of their contract. For Example in Friends tv series, When Joey Tribbiani gets a role in a play or a commercial, his employment is tied to the duration of the project or the run of the play. Once the project ends or the play closes, Joey's contract expires, and he may seek another acting opportunity. Joey's contractual employment allows him to work on different projects while maintaining flexibility in his career.
