The future of venture is about direct partnerships between founders and private investors. This leads to more flexibility in business model and timeline, opening the doors to innovation. This new paradigm requires new financing channels that understand the unique needs of private investors. Their theses, incentives, and strategies are not as standardized as those of VC. The key driver of founder-investor partnerships is trust and authentic relationships, which naturally lead to collaboration and partnership. This can not be achieved through digital marketplaces or fundraising platforms alone. It requires eye contact and hand shakes (and ideally hugs). This is why SVRN is fostering a venture building environment through the format of a social club.
