𝗔: 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 During the 20/21 lockdowns people were denied travel, entertainment and community. What had previously been taken for granted, became a longed-for luxury. Patronless hotels and pubs suffered terribly. Many did not re-open once lockdown was lifted, such was the financial decimation. What we are now seeing, via transaction activity, is the rebalancing of these conditions. Many hotel operators, are selling down, while investors are renewing their interest in the sector, buoyed by the the buzz of society’s re-engagement with the outside world. The pendulum swings.

Christie & Co has published its annual “Business Outlook 2024” report, which highlights the key market activities, trends and challenges of 2023 and provides forecasts for 2024. The report underlines the ambivalent developments in hotel real estate from an operational and real estate perspective.
