It's been a tough year for many of us. If you've faced challenges too, this message might resonate with you. I recently came across a powerful concept from "The Obstacle is the Way" by Ryan Holiday. The chapter I was reading discussed WWII and how German tactics exploited the enemy's flinch, causing them to collapse in the face of what seemed insurmountable. The notion of "flinching" struck a chord with me amidst our own business hurdles. In times of adversity, we often see obstacles as our adversaries. It's essential to exhibit resilience and not be daunted by apparent overpowering circumstances. There's always a silver lining if we choose to seek it out. I refuse to flinch! And encourage the same from you! Let's defy the odds and resist the urge to give up. By embracing the lessons from our struggles, we pave the way for growth and ultimate success. #Resilience #OvercomingChallenges #SuccessMindset
Nicely stated Robin Bair! John D. Rockerfeller would be proud, as he fought to see opportunity in every disaster! As Marcus Aurelius once said, "Choose not to be harmed, and you won't feel harmed. Don't feel harmed, and you haven't been". Great post, thanks for sharing!
Robin, love your resilience! Adversity indeed paves the path for growth. At Belov Digital, we've seen this firsthand. Embrace the lesson, never flinch!
Excellent book ^. And wonderful message, thank you!
Consider using obstacles to innovate and grow Robin Bair
Good word, Robin. During the Men’s College World Series, the Texas A&M team wore hats which had the word “GOOD”. The concept was adversity brought about opportunity. “We lost the first game. Good, we get to play again.” “I struck out. Good, I know what kind of pitches to avoid swinging at.” Although I’m a Tennessee alum and was elated that my team won the series, I was impressed by the TA&M team. Now that their coach left for their arch rival, they can now say: “Good, he’s gone so now we can get back to winning the championship next year.”
