Well deserved, Robin Mearns ! Inclusion is key to our work, and our members of Parliament, Congress and Senate at Climate Parliament www.climateparl.net are now exploring ways in which equal partnership of communities is ensured in green energy projects to make them truly sustainable. We have started this in a focused manner in our GCF-funded Parliamentarians for Climate Finance Project in 15 countries of Sub Saharan Africa. This is besides the strength our chairwoman Sirpa Pietikäinen, MEP gives to our resolve to maximize membership of women legislators in our networks which is already beyond 30 per cent. We will be looking forward to more inputs and advice from The World Bank African Development Bank Group Asian Development Bank (ADB) EBRD UNIDO United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Global Environment Facility Green Climate Fund Sirpa Pietikäinen

Great news, what an exciting role! Look forward to seeing how you take this area forward Robin Mearns and possible opportunities to collaborate. I've found your work on pastoralists in Mongolia very helpful in my work on gender, land, pastoralism and mining there with the WOLTS project. We found social sustainability and inclusion to be critical issues for communities living in the most fragile ecosystems such as pastoralists. And sometimes we were surprised by who was most excluded, see my colleague Narangerel Yansanjav's blog: https://landportal.org/blog-post/2021/02/left-behind-%E2%80%93-mongolian-herders-living-home-mum

Fantastic! Can’t think of a better person for this job (really!! Robin has the unique combination of skills & experience needed *now* for SSI, including a technical expertise on the social dimensions of Climate Change, an outstanding ability to empathize- critical to implementing any governance & inclusion policies or programs, & (quite frankly) Robin is simply a nice, good human being - often hard to find in WB management.

Congratulations, your leadership style is always inclusive so this is a great appointment of someone who acually walks the talk.🙂

Great news for us all! Ever since I worked with you on the Vietnam project which aimed at Ethnic Minorities inclusion a few decades back, I've been impressed with your inclusive leadership style. Let me know if your work touches on IP/FPIC issues as that's my current focus areas. Again, congrats to us all! Greg
