OpenAI DevDay introspection: Three big predictions. What is your feedback? 1) Cost of developing new GPTs will become negligible Non technical people can build custom GPTs by leveraging the various tools introduced at DevDay. This will be faciliated by in-built technologies such as Text-to-Speech (and vice versa), stitching multiple models to create outcomes, interruption while interacting with models, etc. which were custom developed earlier. This will result in a large number of GPTs deployed on GPT Store in near future. 2) Many AI startups will go out of business AI startups solving technical challenges listed in point 1 will not be relevant. Instead, startups focusing on solving domain problems and having access to proprietary data will emerge as future winners. OpenAI cannot compete with private curated business data, since they are focused on building the platform. A win-win situation would be to create custom GPT for a specific business domain using private curated business data. 3) New business models will emerge GPT Store introduced a collaborative AI marketplace with revenue sharing. This will lead to emergence of new business models by combining high quality data with new ways of interactions (i.e. voice becoming standard interface) and combining many platform features.

Last week marked the official launch of Galileo AI, and I've been having some fun exploring its capabilities. While there might be concerns among some designers about AI's impact on the UX/UI industry and job security, I've found the tool to be more of a creative ally than a job-stealer. For me, Galileo AI functions as a creative assistant, aiding in overcoming creative blocks and perfectionist tendencies by putting digital pen to paper and effortlessly generating concepts, which frees up my time to delve into more exciting and innovative ideas. Looking ahead, the prospect of integrating AI directly into design tools like Figma is intriguing to me. Connecting it to a project's design system library could streamline concept generation and automatically align seamlessly with the specific product’s look and feel. The future looks promising as we explore innovative ways to leverage AI in our design workflow! #DesignInnovation #DesignWithAI

It's amazing to think how rapidly things can be built. The older models of software engineering are now more of a history lesson than a primer on building things with prompt-based AI. This slide from Andrew Ng illustrates the rapidly changing build time. You have to really decide what you want to build and deploy and make it happen. Ferris Bueller once said that, "Life moves pretty fast." Now code generation is starting to move even faster! 🤯 Just had an absurdly fun experience utilizing AI as a key-value store! 💡 By leveraging Tigris Data's shadow bucket migration feature, I was able to create a fall-through cache for XeDN's avatar generator that uses Stable Diffusion as the storage backend. This means any object accessed is instantly available in the cache, reducing compute costs and generating images on demand! 🎨 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e2y-4QtW For those curious about the tech details - APIs are our saviors here.
