Our fourth Bosch GR Award category is Customer-Centric Real Estate services. We’d love to introduce you to our three winners in this category! 🏆     🥇 First place in this category goes to the “Project Road Runner.” This is a new location for Bosch in Prešov, Slovakia where eBikes are produced in a 22,000 m² rented building with around 700 associates. The 3,000 m2 office of the new plant received participants for mentoring and workshops on successful change management to implement Smart Work and desk-sharing in a production environment. 🚲     🥈 The second place in this category goes to the “state-of-the-art facility” which will serve as a dedicated hub for innovation, experimentation and collaboration in the field of hydrogen testing which supports research and testing applications. This is one of the first projects of its kind that we established in India and it demonstrated team collaboration for a successful project. 🏢     🥉 The third-place winner in this category is the Bosch Global Real Estate unit in Campinas (Brazil), which produces a wide variety of products for the automotive market, selling directly to car manufacturers and the automotive aftermarket. Throughout 2023, the global Bosch Mobility team focused on mastering challenges and strengthening our business, in spite of strong headwinds. At the same time, they kept driving our transformation and working to secure our lasting success. On January 1, the product of these efforts went live: the new Bosch Mobility set-up will make us faster, more adaptable, and more competitive for our customers. Transformation is everywhere When I started in 2008 during the financial crisis at Bosch as a junior buyer, I was not at all aware of the path my professional life would take. I was the happiest guy on earth, being part of such a great team and in a great job. Already then, changing perspectives was key to understanding the needs of our business partners. From purchasing in different roles, I was drawn to the sales of our Electrification team – what an awesome, dynamic area to work in. Changing perspectives played an important role for me here as well, as I clearly understood the needs of our customers. After a short stint as project lead of a change management project, I was honored to join Powertrain Solutions, being responsible for the Office of the Executive (OFE) for the president, also commercially responsible for Powertrain Solutions. This dream role allowed me to be close to the board of management during a time of significant transformation for our company, enriching my working life and teaching me even more about changing perspectives in challenging times. In October 2022, I moved to the Bosch's headquarters in Gerlingen-Schillerhöhe, helping to prepare for our new setup at Bosch Mobility, which went live on July 1, 2024. I am very thankful for the 1.5 years being part of the OFE team for our sector board at Bosch Mobility, focusing on commercial and finance (even though I am not a controller at all 😊). Now, since July 1, 2024, a new chapter has begun for me. I have again chosen to change function, bringing experience from three different functions to the table. As we are in the midst of transformation, I am really happy to be part of the team making it happen. I would like to say THANK YOU to all my former and current leaders who supported me in trying new things and not just following classical career paths. Liviu’s team covers a great #variety of projects, each with a different perspective. In the area of diagnosis, #complexity is a very exciting factor. Here the impact is huge, and one needs to interact with many people, including colleagues from #Cluj and from other #Bosch locations, but also directly with clients. When it comes to the other area, that of the new businesses, a completely new approach is required. Their activity is more like trial and error, and their current findings and results will be used for future #projects. Nonetheless, regardless of their type, all projects contribute to the fact that #cars are becoming more efficient and safer in the future. Some things just happen and they are too exciting to turn down. That's what just happened to me when I was offered the role of Head of #Digitalization - I just had to say 'YES'! 😍   So, I am happy to announce that from July, I am taking on this great role for the Brose Group and that I will be responsible for:   1️⃣ Coordinating our cross-council initiatives (Engineering, Production, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Finance/Controlling and Digital Product Services) 2️⃣ Leading the the Digitalization Board 3️⃣ Involving the Business Council Leads & IT Council Responsibles 4️⃣ Defining the Digital #Strategy of the Brose Group 5️⃣ Aligning it with the Corporate Strategy 6️⃣ Prioritizing and approval of large Business demands 7️⃣ Checkpoint and challenger of financial and business fit of large demands as well as their conceptual and technological maturity 8️⃣ Communicating decisions to the business, especially into top management and to the Executive Board     For me, it's about bringing #people, #processes and #technologies together. It is very important to me to leave a digital footprint in the organization, to inspire people, to take them on a journey and to lift Brose into a new digital phase. 🤖 👣 💪   Many thanks to Philipp Schramm, Stefan Krug and Christian Ley for trusting me with this role. We started the year with the opening of the Testing Center Munich, followed shortly afterwards by the opening of our new Campus Ingolstadt, and then by the renewed Top Employer award, as well as many events and trade fairs in May and June. Last but not least, we concluded the first half of the year on a sporting note with a number of summer parties and running events.
