The mission of any health care network is the care and safety of its community. That thought is the mission behind Jersey Shore University Medical Center's Project HEAL, a hospital-based violence intervention program whose transformative work has helped nearly 700 individuals. I was proud to join my fellow Hackensack Meridian Health leaders and team members, community partners and state and federal government officials at Jersey Shore University Medical Center for a gun violence awareness event. We are committed to helping to reduce violence in all its forms — including firearms. #gunviolence #nonviolence #newjersey

What a run! I had a fantastic time joining HMH team members, family and New Jerseyans for the Spring Lake 5 Mile Run. The race was even better because it started with a team warmup and stretch at the Hackensack Meridian Health tent — and followed by a post-race brunch hosted by myself and Laura Coti Garrett, MS, RDN.
