Robert Blumofe’s Post

I’m feeling energized after a jam-packed week of events, and I’m excited to share two highlights with you all. To kick off last week, I participated in a discussion at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, followed by a panel discussion at the #FutureTalentSummit in Stockholm, Sweden. Both events, though different in format, focused on better understanding what artificial intelligence can and cannot do, and how to identify when AI is beneficial for specific use cases. In our increasingly online world, we often assume AI can meet every need. While AI is an exciting technology poised to transform business, education, and society, it can sometimes create unrealistic expectations. My main takeaway (as seen in one of the photos 🙂): take a step back and carefully consider when, if at all, AI makes sense. We can’t solve every problem with LLMs. I’m grateful to have met and interacted with so many wonderful individuals this week. Looking forward to keeping the conversation going!
