Things aren’t getting any easier for the Tesla Cybertruck. The EV giant has just issued two new recalls for its hyped pickup. This time the culprits are the vehicle’s giant windshield wiper and a part of the trunk trim.

"The technician’s summary: “Front wheel fell off while driving on Autopilot at 60 mph,” referring to Tesla’s automated driving system" This is pure propaganda! Legacy car makers have to send a recovery truck and bring the car to a workshop, but with Tesla a new front wheel can be downloaded with an OTA update. I'm being sarcastic, of course, but it's worth reading that report in detail: some absolutely shocking things in it. https://lnkd.in/e3W66UBq

WSJ likes combustion autos and O&G. “Recalls” at Tesla, which is not stated, so far are overnight software updates that you only know occurred by the notice you get on the Tesla app on your phone. Toyota, considered tge gold standard for reliability, just issued a recall for millions of vehicles where you have to take the vehicle to a dealership. Big difference: phrasing and context reveal the bias.

The more the merrier. Not this time. If this Reuters article is true then Tesla is making a BIG mistake. Customers want eVs. Affordable eVs. Not Ford Edge size cars for >$50k. It will be crucial to develop cost parity eVs for the near future. Not having a $25k car in the portfolio will be a big problem in 2026/2027. Actually it already is…. Let’s hope that this article turns out to be a misunderstanding…. https://lnkd.in/eqfyQevF

The automaker is once again in the spotlight due to its latest safety flaw. Unlike the December recall, this issue is unrelated to the vehicle's driving or performance. Specifically, the recall addresses a safety-related concern regarding the font size of a particular light. Remarkably, this recall can be rectified through a software update delivered wirelessly from any location where the car has connectivity. While this issue may appear minor, it could contribute to a negative public perception of Tesla. The company has been frequently featured in the news, often for reasons that do not reflect positively on its reputation. #WSJNEIT https://lnkd.in/e7759QHj

Now I wonder why hadn’t Tesla only leveraged the Model Y platform for a compact truck/van before spending billions on the Cybertruck 😉(just kidding ). France’s tax loophole for business owners requires a utility vehicle to be used in “a professional context” and must be limited to two or three seats in the front and zero in the back. So here’s Tesla’s solution. #electricvehicles #ev #evcharging #emobilitysimplified
