I'm thrilled to announce that Mark Abellera has joined our team at Siltanen & Partners as Executive Creative Director. Mark and I have been friends and colleagues for 27 years. I had the incredibly good fortune to hire Mark when he was a copywriter and I was a creative director at Chiat/Day. During his time at Chiat, Mark (alongside his art director partner Jason Stinsmuehlen) crafted the iconic launch campaign for the original Nissan Xterra, featuring Lenny Kravitz’ hit song “Fly away.” This campaign earned the Grand Effie award for being the most effective in America. Mark also contributed exceptional work to the Nissan “Enjoy the ride” campaign, including the award-winning commercial “Witness protection” that secured a bronze lion at Cannes. Mark's career is studded with achievements, including winning an Emmy Award for a commercial he wrote for HBO. His journey through the industry's top creative agencies and work with leading global brands showcases his talent and dedication.
