Sometimes the pressure to 'do something' to recognise a movement, cause or celebration can detract from all the hard work our organisations do each and every week of the year. So this #NationalInclusionWeek we took a moment to reflect on the steps that our business has taken to ensure our people are heard and valued and to encourage engagement and feedback for our future objectives. We've taken some great steps forward in our ED&I journey over the last few years, and whilst there's a long way to go, we hope that all of our teams feel our commitment to ensuring that everyone is treated with Fairness, Inclusion and Respect. It's not the action we take this week, it's the actions we take every single week that move us forward. #TakeActionMakeImpact

I know first hand that volunteer engagement professionals around the world are hard at work creating more welcoming environments for community and volunteers. It's the topic of so many of our conversations. It wasn't surprising to me that volunteer engagement professionals give their organizations a D grade in when it comes to creating diverse, equitable and inclusive environments and it's not acceptable. When you think about your own organization, who do you think feels welcome as a volunteer and who might be walking by your open doors? My colleagues Mark Hager and Teresa Oswald authored a report from our ADEVI research entitled "Is Everyone Welcome: A Report Card on Inclusiveness in Volunteer Contexts."
