🧑💻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀:
We are working on two projects, Recip․io and Let's Lunch. Lets Lunch is all about creating new connections over the means of lunch time, and Recip․io is an application intended to mitigate food waste. We're not stopping there, though! Join our brainstorming session on February 20th, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, as we seek out our next transformative project.
♻️ 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵:
In partnership with Communitech, we're embarking on a new initiative to refurbish hardware, blending technology with sustainability. Interested in making a difference and getting hands-on experience with hardware? Don't miss our Interest Meeting on February 22nd, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
✨ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘀:
Maintain Mason: Every Friday from 12 - 1 PM, we come together to pick up trash and beautify our campus at George Mason University with George Mason Student Government and others. It's a small act that makes a big difference, strengthening our bond and commitment to our community.
Hackathons & Discord: We thrive on creativity and competition, regularly attending hackathons together to enable our spirit of innovation! Stay connected and plan for the next hackathon with us in our Discord.
Whether you're passionate about technology, sustainability, or simply looking for a community that values action and improvement, T4G has something for you. Dive into our projects, make an impact with our initiatives, and contribute to a culture that cares.

I woke up today morning happy. Over 700 people RSVPd across NYC and SF IRLs ("in real life"). happening right now.
Our goal is to flip the script. literally and figuratively.
Instead of learning and then building "one day," let's build and the learning will happen.
Our pedagogy: Build. Measure. Learn. In that order.
Too many people get $150K job and quit their dream of "one day" building. I know software engineers who are millionaires still on "one day."
IRLs are to give you that oomph, the push to get out there and build. Proximity is power.
SUPER PUMPED for today. I woke up a happy day. I hope the day also ends on a happy note. lfg!!
If you are an accepted fellow and hyped for your bros and sis in NYC/SF... show them love in the comments.
come help me host events in your locale. Will send you merch if 50+ people show up!!!
Not part of our software engineering fellowship? https://headstarter.co (apply only if you are someone's team mate, accepted or applied)
Those who applied - we are going thru apps and will be getting back with a decision Monday. All the best.
Great to be part of GSV leaders conference in Nashville and hear Lisa Cohen Gevelber and Scott Pulsipher about degree, skilling and how they are co-existing as well as some time competing. For the longest time, the economic value of education has not been questioned as much as it's should have been! Good to see it's being talked about more often!
Amazing to hear that Google career certificate has reached 600,000 learners in less than 2 years! The majority of high school students in the USA, don't make it to a college, so offering them industry certificate at the high school level can definitely open a lot of opportunities to them for sure!
Traditional universities sitting on huge real estate funded by tax payers money which is not optimally utilized is mind boggling and this is something that universities like Western Governors University are questioning by offering affordable high quality degrees online and targeting minimum 10X return on investment made by learners in taking their programs as economic outcome.
What are you doing over the summer? Taking summer classes allows you to catch up on missing credits, save money, and take courses that may not be offered during the fall or spring semesters.
