Had a chance to meet Christophe Fouquet & was truly inspirational. I often hear how spending a lunch hour with leaders can make you think differently. I can definitely agree to it. For those who don't know : He is on the board of ASML and has had a fantastic career behind him where he drove Asml to its glory. He was instrumental in the Application and EUV business (and is a core science person at heart) We spoke on different topics and here were some soft transferable messages worth sharing here: 1: 💥Focus on quality over quantity. Don't do a lots of things but do a few things perfectly right. 2: 🧘♂️Don't be afraid to make a change. Change is indispensable and allows you to grow. 3:👨💻 If you are really counting hours each day at work then it must need rethinking. You stop counting when you are having fun. 4: 🤝Building humanly connections with peers goes long way. With your work, people also remember what kind of a person you are. As it turns out, last year, #ASML became the world's largest #maker of #fab tools, dethroning Applied Materials, which was a #leader for decades, as observed by analyst Dan Nystedt. While this is hardly #competition and there are several reasons why #ASML came first, it is a remarkable turn of events. ASML earned $29.83 billion in calendar 2023, whereas #Applied's revenue achieved $26.52 billion, according to Dan Nystedt. There are several things to keep in mind here. Firstly, #ASML's financial year follows the calendar year, whereas Applied Materials's 2023 financial year ended October 29, #2023. This is why the analyst used the company's Q1 #FY2024 results (which ended on January 28, 2024) for his calculations.

It was such an interesting learning experience to work in the production line for a week in the historical plant 1 of BMW in Munich where cars are being manufactured for more than 100 years now. ASML can you educate your employees who are taking the bus from eindhoven station, that the middle and the back doors are just to exit, and the official entrance is the front door? Also can you arrange special transportation (shuttle bus) to ASML instead of overloading public transportation with your employees?
