Yay!!!! And the ball is officially rolling!! 🥳😍 I am so proud to see all my hard work for the last 12 months agreeing our customer promise and then rolling out across our entire business. Helping all colleagues understand what it means to them in their departments, teams, role and responsibilities. Making strategy translate down to the tangible actions we can all contribute towards achieving our goal, our customer promise.
I must say a huge thank you to over 1000 colleagues I have work with across over 50 workshops across all levels to help mould our promise into something meaningful for your area! The energy and enthusiasm has been second to none and very inspiring! We all just want to do the right thing by our customers and it is event! Putting the customer at the heart of all we do!
I took this oppportunity to apply a new blue print of delivery that would inspire, collaborate and effectively rollout a cultural strategic change not only top:down, but bottom:up. We all fed into this, so we can all keep it alive and live by it everyday.

Cell Therapies in particular are challenged with the need to use raw materials never before needed in the manufacturing/diagnostic space, or unavailable in applicable sizing, which often leads to the usage of inputs that are below GxP standards. How this impacts therapeutic safety, can be mitigated in BLAs, and solved as a field are still open questions; but as these modalities mature, there is an increasing focus by groups such as American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy, FDA, and CBER/BCTC.
To best approach these questions on the policy level and manufacturing floor, collaborations between industry and suppliers will be key. Avantor is excited to work with customers to develop flexible, equipment-agnostic solutions to accelerate the path to the clinic.
