Vice President of Real Estate and Construction & Speaker

The Power of Involvement…. I recently attended the National Fire Protection Association (#NFPA) Technical Meeting as a voting member, and I witnessed firsthand the impact that every single vote can have. During the meeting, a motion was made to require building owners to physically inspect electronically monitored dampers every 18 years for #hospitals and every 12 years for all others. The result? The motion was rejected by a razor-thin margin: 177 against and 175 in support. Just 2 votes determined the outcome! This experience underscores the incredible power of involvement. Each vote, each voice, and each individual's participation can shape critical decisions that affect safety and regulations. If you're passionate about a cause, don't underestimate the difference you can make. Get involved, stay engaged, and be a part of the change you want to see. #InvolvementMatters #FireSafety #GetInvolved #VoteCounts #ASHE

Great post Richie. One never knows when their vote might be the deciding vote. That vote was closer than I hoped it would be.
