Bringing no-code data science to RevOps. Podcast host. GTM fanatic.

I'm rapidly approaching my first 4 months at Infer. 4 months at an early stage startup is actually quite a long time as so much happens! I've learned a huge amount so far and feel like I've developed a ton of new skills during this time. There really isn't a better place to broaden your domain expertise than at a startup where you get to wear so many hats. I've put together a video on some of my lessons learned. To summarise: Pre-seed is very different to Series A! Narrow is better than cool. We've transitioned from a broad data science platform to a hyper focused revenue intelligence product. This change in positioning has been huge for us There's power in community. Having chats, going to events, just speaking to people without ulterior motive has been so valuable. Outbound has dramatically changed. I took a year out before joining Infer, during this time the access to AI has fundamentally changed outbound. There's so much noise (and most of it is really not great) which puts extra focus on doing it right over doing it loads In-person is the winner. I've been to a fair few events during this 4 months and it's been so so helpful to actually build some kind of connection with people. I'm planning on recording and posting more videos to share the journey we're on, helping people get to know what we do and why we're doing it. But bear with me, the first few may be a bit clunky 😂 Big thanks to the amazing team we have at Infer. We're really onto something special and I'm looking forward to seeing what the next few months hold!

Love this Richard Heritage on the value prop "narrow is better than cool" totally agree, if this had said "short is better than cool" it would have decsribed me :) Also, love the fact you are advocating meeting in person, networking etc. I'm so glad I've heard someone else say this as soooo many new sales reps / leaders who have arrived on the scene post covid don't do it and I honestly can't get my head around it!!! Here's to the next 4 months / years 🔥

Really interesting! I think like you I would have assumed that pre-seed and Series A would have been much closer but absolutely love to see the journey you've been on! Can't wait to see what's next 🚀
