This week, Riceland Foods participated in the 2024 Arkansas Future Ag Leaders program! Students enjoyed lunch at headquarters, learned more about Riceland, and ended with a plant tour. Students from U of A, UAPB, A-State, UAM, Williams Baptist, and SAU were all represented.

Additionally, it generates $358 million in state and local taxes and supports a payroll totaling $1.6 billion annually. It's February, which means it's #blackhistorymonth. A great time to highlight and celebrate the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. If you work in the #HVACR industry, there's one name you should definitely know - Frederick McKinley Jones. He was an inventor and entrepreneur who revolutionized refrigerated transport. Jones designed the first practical, affordable refrigeration system that could be installed on trucks and railroad cars. This allowed perishable goods like produce and meat to be transported long distances without spoiling. His refrigeration units used an innovative automatic control system. This maintained preset temperatures for days without supervision. Jones received over 60 patents for his groundbreaking work. The impact of Frederick Jones' refrigerated transport technology was immense. It enabled national and global food distribution on a scale never before possible.
