We saw more people going out for food and drink more often than the previous Christmas, as it was the first real festive period in two years that had not been impacted by Covid restrictions. “Although consumers are being careful with how they spend their money this year, due to the higher cost of living, we expect increased visits to continue in 2023, as people prioritise socialising with their family and friends,” Pat adds. Rooster Rojo Mezcal To Stage a UK Launch at Edinburgh Cocktail Week Edinburgh Cocktail Week (5-16 October) is to be the occasion for the UK release of Rooster Rojo Mezcal. The brand owner, Amber Beverage Group (ABG), has chosen the event as the setting for the launch of this important new Mezcal expression due to the expected high footfall of over 24,000 people over 10 days. This is the leading cocktail festival in the UK that attracts both consumers and professionals from the drinks trade. Amber Beverage UK, which represents the brand in the UK, is collaborating with The Raging Bull bar for the launch. As well as activity in the bar itself, the focus will be on the Rooster Rojo and The Raging Bull collaborative pop-up as part of The Cocktail Village near Edinburgh's Princes Street. The new ultra-premium Mezcal expression adds to an already successful range that is often the choice of bartenders around the world. This is a high-end liquid that, as a guide, will command an RRP of around £45 per 70cl bottle. The six Rooster Rojo expressions are: · Blanco (38% ABV) · Reposado (38% ABV) · Añejo (38% ABV) · Smoked Pineapple (38% ABV) · Ahumado (40% ABV) · Mezcal (43% ABV) Agave spirits are on a significant upward trajectory, and Rooster Rojo Mezcal offers an expanded opportunity to sell agave spirits and bring more consumers into the category. Mezcal is an artisanal and ultra-premium spirit, and, with smoky flavours very much on-trend, this Mezcal is an important new entrant into a fast-growing category that helps venues add another dimension to their menus.

𝙋𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 & 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙏𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙖 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙪𝙥 𝙖𝙩 𝘽𝘾𝘽 🍹 🍸 After making its mark in mezcal, Pacific & Lime is ready to showcase its 100% agave Tequila to the world. Pacific & Lime has found success in growing the availability of award-winning Noble Coyote Mezcals. But at this year’s Bar Convent Berlin (BCB), the team had a new spirit offering up its sleeve: Pacific & Lime Tequila. The 100% agave blanco Tequila is the brainchild of Pacific & Lime managing director Nikša Pirović and 10th-generation Tequila maker Bruno Barba, who co-owns the business. “When Nikša came to Mexico, he told me about the project and I immediately thought that it will be an amazing project, very different for what we are used to seeing in Tequilas,” Barba explained. “We have a very disruptive brand but inside we have a very traditional Tequila.” In the video above, we learn more about what sets Pacific & Lime Tequila apart from other blanco Tequilas on the market. Tequila has been growing in popularity in the last few years. At the beginning of 2023, IWSR Drinks Market Analysis data revealed Tequila sales by value had overtaken American whiskey in the US, putting Tequila as the second most valuable category in the States. At the time IWSR forecast that Tequila would topple vodka from the top spot by the end of the year.
