I often find myself clocking in 70+ hours each week, but there's a distinct difference – I do it for my own business, my passion project! 💪 Lately, there's been quite a buzz about young professionals putting in 70-hour workweeks, attributing it as the magic formula for success. But let's remember, the idea of a 70-hour workweek is a subjective one. It heavily relies on what you're dedicating those hours to: 🚀 If you're an entrepreneur, it's almost a given that you'll be burning the midnight oil. But when it's your dream and your venture, it doesn't feel like a burden – it's a labor of love. 🏢 If you're working for a company, the standard 40-hour workweek is there, but what about the rest? I firmly believe in personal choice – if you're passionate about your job and want to put in extra hours, go for it! If not, stick to your regular hours. Have you ever gone for a walk to go for a walk? This is something Thich Nhat Hanh recommends in his book “The Miracle of Mindfulness”. It is something that I in turn, since discovering its real power, recommend to my own clients throughout my coaching programmes. And it is because of “going for a walk to go for a walk” that my idea was born! It was Friday last year I had blocked off the day to work ON my business. To do this work, I had driven to one of my favourite spots - Salthill in Galway. While walking the prom “to walk the prom”, it was in this completely switched off mode that the question I had taken to “work ON” for the day was answered - quickly, smoothly, effortlessly. Pouring into and from my brain so quick I did have to reach for my phone and switch it back on so that I could record the flow of words spilling out. The question I was seeking clarity on? “How do I pull together all that I do into a format that makes sense to others?” The idea that spilled in that walk literally became my IDEAA™ And this has become the foundation for all my programmes since - My IDEAA™  For Success.
