MICE Sales is also beginning to understand that times have changed. It will not be like 2018 and the years before in 2023 and the following years. It is high time to critically examine and question all MICE sales and marketing measures. #rethinkMICEsales QUESTION TO MICE SALES: WH WHY DO SUPPLIERS MAKE ONLINE SALES CALL PRESENTATIONS IN SOFTWARE THAT PARTICIPANTS HAVE TO SIGN UP AND GOOGLE CAN'T FIND THE CONTENT AFTERWARDS? The customer journey for any event planning always starts with the inspiration phase, followed by an information phase, which then leads to the selection (phase) of possible destinations and possible MICE suppliers. Definitely no event planner wants to meet or talk to a MICE sales person in these three phases. But MICE sales must deliver content and deliver content and deliver content for these phases, which all take place online. But, the content must also be easily found on the internet. Content that is published in closed software will not! Every guest journey starts with marketing and ends with a memorable stay – connect the dots for better returns 💡 You've heard it before - the holy trinity of any business is sales, marketing, and revenue. But have you really stopped to consider just how intertwined those three forces are? In hospitality, it's even more apparent just how much they rely on each other to drive success. 👋🏻 Marketing's job is to creatively inspire potential guests and get them excited about your property or services. But if the sales process falls flat with poor communication or friction, those motivated leads don't convert into paid bookings. No sales = no revenue. 🤷🏻♂️ On the flip side, sales could be operating smoothly, but without a steady stream of leads and awareness driven by marketing, they'll soon run out of prospects to convert. No leads = no sales = no revenue. 💰 And at the end of the funnel, even if sales and marketing efforts are top-notch, if the on-property experience lacks hospitality and fails to wow guests, you'll be fresh out of positive reviews and repeat customers. No hospitality = no revenue. 👉🏻 The truth is that these three pillars of sales, marketing, and revenue creation are so tightly wound together that one cannot exist without the others. They're codependent forces who all share a common goal - profitability and growth for the business. So, it's time we stop siloing our efforts and start truly embracing that interconnectivity. Sales and marketing must collaborate seamlessly to ensure a smooth, cohesive journey for prospects. Both teams need a direct line to operations/hospitality to gather insights around experience delivery. And everyone should intimately understand how their role impacts revenue flow. 😎 Because at the end of the day, all three pieces of the trinity must be moving in lockstep to create that beautiful revenue engine humming along.
