Fake pills can look like the real thing, but a frightening truth hides just under the surface: many of these pills contain fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that’s fifty times more potent than heroin. In a series of brief but powerful videos, we make the hidden dangers of fentanyl plain to see. Pills that look like painkillers may actually be #JustPlainKillers. The #opioid epidemic continues to impact the Northern Virginia community. People are overdosing on counterfeit fentanyl-laced prescription medications that look almost identical to authentic pills. Fentanyl is a common substitute or cutting agent often found in illicit narcotics such as cocaine and heroin. To learn what to do in an opioid-related crisis, the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is providing free 𝘝𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘖𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘪𝘥 𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘕𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘹𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘌𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 (𝘙𝘌𝘝𝘐𝘝𝘌!
